Jasmin Noir is an oriental floral for women, created for Bvlgari in 2008 by Carlos Benaïm and Sophie Labbé. Green notes and gardenia open it cool, then sambac jasmine takes the centre, paired with almond, which turns the flower creamy and faintly marzipan-like rather than indolic. Licorice and tonka bean darken the base against precious woods, patchouli, amber and musk, and that darkness is what the name refers to. Softer and more gourmand than a jasmine soliflore would be. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits autumn and winter evenings.
