1881 is a floral for women, composed by Claire Cain Miller for Cerruti in 1995. Mimosa and iris open it soft and yellow over freesia, violet and rose, and the heart is green and slightly bitter, galbanum and coriander against narcissus, orange blossom and tuberose. It ends powdery on musk, sandalwood, cedar and vanilla. The starting point was a flax flower note, Nino Cerruti's signature bloom, which is where its quiet, linen-like character comes from. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring and autumn daylight.
