White Rice is a floral for women and men, composed by Anh Ngo with IFF for d'Annam in 2023 as a tribute to Vietnam's white jasmine rice, the bowl at the centre of nearly every Vietnamese meal. Rice and pandanus open it starchy and faintly nutty, orris and jasmine give it a powdery floral middle, and white musk, tonka bean and cedarwood keep the drydown soft. Savoury and sweet at the same time. It lasts a moderate while and stays close to the skin, and it suits spring, summer and autumn days.
