Le Parfum is an oriental floral for women, composed by Francis Kurkdjian for Elie Saab in 2011 and the Lebanese couturier's first fragrance, chosen after 279 trials. Orange blossom opens it wide and sunlit, and jasmine follows in two forms, grandiflorum and sambac, so the whole thing reads as one big white flower rather than a bouquet. Underneath, honey and cedar give it weight, with patchouli and a rose accord keeping the sweetness in check. Luminous and unmistakably loud. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it suits spring and autumn daylight.
