Drakkar Noir is an aromatic fougere for men, composed by Pierre Wargnye for Guy Laroche in 1982. Lavender, rosemary and artemisia open it cold and bitter-green over lemon and bergamot, then coriander, cinnamon and carnation spice the middle with juniper and wormwood keeping it dry. The base is dark and mossy: oakmoss, leather and patchouli with fir and pine needles giving it a resinous, outdoor edge. Sharp and masculine in the old manner. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it works day or night through autumn, winter and spring.
