Joop! Homme

Joop! Homme is an oriental fougere for men, composed by Michel Almairac in 1989. Citrus opens it, Amalfi lemon and mandarin with orange blossom, but the fragrance is really about what follows: a floral heart of jasmine and heliotrope spiced with cinnamon and cardamom, then a thick sweet base of vanilla, tonka bean and honey over tobacco, patchouli and sandalwood. Very little about it is restrained, and the sweetness is the point rather than an accident. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it belongs to autumn and winter evenings.
