Fou d'Absinthe

Fou d'Absinthe is an aromatic fougere for women and men, composed by Olivia Giacobetti for L'Artisan Parfumeur in 2006. Wormwood and angelica give it a bitter, green opening with blackcurrant adding a tart sweetness, and the heart is properly spiced: star anise, nutmeg, cloves, ginger and pepper over patchouli. The base is coniferous, pine needles and balsam fir with incense, which is what makes it feel cold and resinous rather than warm. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring and autumn days.
