L de Lolita Lempicka

L de Lolita Lempicka is an oriental vanilla for women, composed by Maurice Roucel in 2006. Bitter orange and bergamot give it a brief citrus opening before immortelle takes over, and that is what makes it recognisable: a dense, honeyed warmth sitting somewhere between maple syrup and dried flowers. Cinnamon spices it and musk softens the edges. The base is vanilla and tonka bean over sandalwood, thick and sweet without quite becoming a dessert. Very little about it is subtle. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it belongs to autumn and winter, day or night.
