Ambre Russe is an oriental spicy fragrance for women and men, composed by Marc-Antoine Corticchiato for Parfum d'Empire in 2003 around the idea of imperial Russia. Vodka and champagne open it, which sounds like a gimmick and is not: the effect is boozy and cold before the warmth arrives. Russian leather, smoky tea, cinnamon and coriander fill the middle, with birch adding tar. Amber, incense and musk make the base thick and golden. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it belongs to autumn and winter evenings.
