Shaghaf Oud

Shaghaf Oud is an oriental for women and men from Swiss Arabian. Its year is not recorded and no perfumer is credited. It takes the familiar Arabian pairing of oud and rose and sweetens it heavily: saffron opens dry and slightly medicinal, the rose that follows is jammy rather than fresh, and praline and vanilla melt into the oud underneath until the effect is closer to dessert than to incense. The brand calls it Oriental opulence with French elegance. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it belongs to winter and autumn evenings.
