Cedrus is a woody spicy for women and men, composed by Quentin Bisch for Chloé in 2019. The record lists it flat, five notes and no pyramid, and the name promises a cedar that the list never delivers: what is there is woody notes, vetiver, moss, cardamom and sandalwood. That reads dry and earthy, with cardamom giving it a cool spice and moss a shaded, slightly damp edge. Restrained rather than loud. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, which fits the spring and summer daytime it is given.
