Odeur 53 is a floral woody musk from Comme des Garcons for women and men, composed by Martine Pallix and released in 1998. It is an anti-perfume: the name refers to its 53 components, many of them inorganic smells such as desert sand, flame, rubber, oxygen and a hot light bulb. What comes through is metallic and mineral, with clay, pebbles and sand giving a dry, earthy, faintly marine feel and no floral sweetness at all. It is said to open differently on each wearer. It lasts a moderate while and stays close to the skin, best on spring and summer days.
