The Only One

The Only One is an oriental vanilla for women, released by Dolce&Gabbana in 2018 as a variation on The One from 2006. No perfumer is credited. It works by contrast: violet, powdery and cool, set directly against coffee, which is bitter and roasted and arrives early. Bergamot and orange brighten the opening, and pear, iris, rose and orange blossom fill in around the coffee without softening it much. Caramel, vanilla and patchouli make the base sweet and sticky. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits autumn and winter, day or night.
