Black Cashmere is an oriental floral for women, composed by Rodrigo Flores-Roux for Donna Karan in 2002. Karan wanted "something dark and mysterious with a sensual and rich texture", and the result is much more spice than flower. Nutmeg, saffron and olibanum open it dry and resinous, white pepper and cloves keep the heat going with rose almost buried underneath, and woods, amber, patchouli and more incense weigh down the base. There is a cold, metallic edge to it. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it belongs to winter and autumn evenings.
