Acqua di Gio is an aromatic aquatic fragrance for men, made for Giorgio Armani by Alberto Morillas, Annick Menardo and Christian Dussoulier in 1996. Citrus and sea air lead it: lemon, bergamot and mandarin over calone and marine notes, with rosemary and coriander for a dry herbal edge, and cedar, patchouli and oakmoss underneath. Armani took the idea from Pantelleria, where he spent his holidays. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, sitting close to the skin once the opening burns off. Made for hot weather and daytime.
