Power

Power is a woody spicy fragrance for men, composed by Olivier Polge for Kenzo in 2008. The record is unusually thin in the middle: coriander, cardamom and bergamot at the top, then a heart given only as flowers, then tolu balsam, labdanum and cedar at the base. What that adds up to is a spiced citrus opening drying into balsamic woods, warm and resinous rather than sharp. Japanese designer Kenya Hara made the bottle. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring and summer days.
