Santal 33

Santal 33 is a woody aromatic fragrance for women and men, made for Le Labo by Frank Voelkl in 2011. Its notes are listed without a pyramid and it wears that way: sandalwood and Virginia cedar sit under dry papyrus and leather, so the wood reads smoky and a little rough rather than creamy. Violet and iris add a powdery lift, cardamom some warmth, and amber softens the close. Dry throughout and not sweet. It lasts a long time and projects strongly. Spring, autumn and winter, day or night.
