The Noir 29 is an aromatic fragrance for women and men, composed by Frank Voelkl for Le Labo in 2015 around the idea of black tea. Fig and bay leaf open it green and slightly milky, with bergamot lifting them. The middle is dry and woody, cedar and vetiver with musk softening them. Then tobacco and hay take over, and that is where the tea idea lands: warm, leafy, faintly smoky, closer to a tin of loose leaves than to a cup. It lasts a long time and projects moderately, and it works in autumn and winter, day or night.
