Symphony is a citrus fragrance for women and men, composed by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud for Louis Vuitton in 2021. Three ingredients make it up: grapefruit, bergamot and ginger. The grapefruit is the bitter kind rather than the sweet, bergamot keeps the edges clean and green, and ginger gives it a dry warmth that stops it reading as a plain cologne. Spare by design, with nowhere for a weak ingredient to hide. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, which is unusual for something this transparent, and it suits spring and summer days.
