Pardon

Pardon is a Nasomatto fragrance for men, made by Alessandro Gualtieri in 2011. The record assigns it no family, and the accords explain why: it sits between a spiced gourmand and an oud. Magnolia gives it a brief floral lift at the top, then dark chocolate and cinnamon take over, sweetened but not softened by tonka bean. Underneath, agarwood and sandalwood turn it dry and resinous, so the chocolate reads as bitter rather than edible. Dense and unhurried. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, which makes it an autumn and winter evening scent.
