Polo Blue is an aromatic fougere for men, created for Ralph Lauren in 2003 by Carlos Benaïm and Christophe Laudamiel. Cucumber and melon open it watery and cool, with mandarin adding just enough sweetness, and the effect is more ozonic than citrus. Basil, sage and geranium give the middle a herbal green spine that keeps it from being simply fresh. Suede is the surprise in the base, soft and slightly powdery against musk and quiet woods. Clean and undemanding. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring and summer daytime.
