Polo Red

Polo Red is a woody spicy fragrance for men, composed by Olivier Gillotin for Ralph Lauren in 2013, the entry in the Polo line built around the colour red and the ingredients that fit it. Red grapefruit, cranberry and Italian lemon open it tart, then red saffron and sage give the middle a warm, slightly medicinal spice. The base is where it becomes distinctive: coffee beans against hot amber and red wood, roasted rather than sweet. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it works day or night outside summer.
