Chypre Rouge

Chypre Rouge is a fruity chypre from Serge Lutens for women and men, composed by Christopher Sheldrake and launched in 2006. The house describes it as the scent of western France and of a fairy-tale forest. Caraway and pine needles give a resinous, herbal opening, then honey and beeswax pour in, thick and golden, with a little jasmine. Oakmoss, patchouli and amber anchor it in damp earth, while vanilla and musk soften the edges. It wears at a moderate pace with moderate projection, a fine companion for autumn days.
