La Vierge De Fer is a floral for women and men, released by Serge Lutens in 2013 with no perfumer credited. The name is the Iron Maiden, and Lutens ends his own text for it by calling the thing "that lily amongst the thorns". The notes are listed flat and there are five: lily, pear, a metallic note, sandalwood and incense. The lily is cold and waxy, the pear stops it turning funereal, and the metallic accord is what most people notice first. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring daytime.
