Soir de Lune is a chypre floral for women, composed by Dominique Ropion for Sisley in 2006. Coriander, nutmeg and pepper oil give it a spicy opening over lemon and mandarin, and the heart sets a cool iris against honeyed mimosa, with May rose, jasmine and a soft peach filling the space between them. The base is proper chypre: oakmoss and patchouli with honey, musk and sandalwood. Dark and rich rather than fresh. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it suits autumn and winter, day or night.
