Big news for fragrance fans: Interparfums has landed the license to create scents for sportswear giant Puma.

Under the deal, the fragrance specialist will handle everything from creation and development to production and global distribution, all under the Puma name.

Don’t expect anything right away, though. The first scent is slated for 2027, and the agreement itself runs all the way to 2037.

“Puma is an iconic global brand that connects world-class athletic performance with culture, fashion, and everyday lifestyle,” said Jean Madar, Chairman and CEO of Interparfums.

He pointed to the brand’s innovative products, its close ties with elite athletes and teams, and its boundary-pushing collaborations in design and pop culture. Thanks to all that, Puma’s influence stretches far beyond the pitch, and it’s built a serious foothold in key markets worldwide.

“We look forward to translating this cultural significance into a new fragrance that extends the Puma brand and engages consumers across markets, generations, and style preferences.”

This isn’t Puma’s first foray into scent. In the past, its perfumes and other beauty products were made under license with L’Oréal and Procter & Gamble.

Nina Jacobsen, Director, Licensed Business at Puma, commented: “We are delighted for Puma to join the Interparfums brand portfolio.

“Interparfums has built an exceptional reputation for translating the essence of iconic brands into distinctive fragrance experiences, supported by a proven record of execution, global reach, and deep understanding of consumers.

“Together, we expect to leverage Puma’s cultural relevance, energy and global brand appeal to create a fragrance that will be embraced by consumers around the world.”
