Christian Lacroix Absynthe is an aromatic fragrance for women, composed by Laurent Le Guernec for Avon in 2009, following the designer's Rouge and Noir for the brand in 2007. Wormwood and anise open it bitter and liquorice-sharp, which is the absinthe of the name done fairly literally, with freesia softening the edge. Saffron, narcissus and artemisia keep the middle dry and herbal, and myrrh, ebony wood and amber give it a resinous base. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits autumn, day or night.
