Blanche is a floral aldehyde for women, released by Byredo in 2009 and built around the colour white. No perfumer is credited. Aldehydes open it soapy and cold, and that scrubbed quality never really leaves: white rose and pink pepper sit inside it, then peony, violet and neroli keep the middle airy rather than floral in any lush sense. Blond wood, sandalwood and musk finish it softly. Deliberately simple, and closer to clean skin and linen than to a bouquet. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring and summer daytime.
