Gypsy Water is a woody aromatic for women and men, released by Byredo in 2008 with no perfumer credited. Juniper and pepper give the opening a gin-like crispness alongside lemon and bergamot, then pine needles and a thread of incense turn it cool and resinous, with orris root adding powder. Vanilla, sandalwood and amber warm the drydown without sweetening it much. It stays close to the skin and fades at a moderate pace, so it reads as quiet and personal, best worn in daylight from spring to autumn.
