Zino Davidoff is an oriental woody fragrance for men, composed by Michel Almairac for Davidoff in 1986 and named after the founder of the house. Lavender, clary sage and rosewood open it sharp and herbal over bergamot, and the heart is an old-fashioned floral bouquet of rose and geranium with jasmine and lily-of-the-valley, rarer in a masculine now than it was then. Patchouli, cedar and sandalwood close it with a little vanilla. The brand's own account dates the composition to 1988. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits autumn and winter, day or night.
