Dolce&Gabbana is a floral aldehyde for women, created in 1992 by Jean-Pierre Mary and Martine Pallix as the house's first fragrance. Aldehydes, basil and ivy open it bright, bitter and soapy over citrus and freesia, a stronger start than most florals attempt, and the heart is classical and crowded: carnation and marigold spiced by coriander against orange blossom, lily, rose and jasmine. Sandalwood, vanilla, tonka bean and musk close it sweet and balsamic. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it suits autumn and winter evenings.
