Carnal Flower is a floral for women and men, composed by Dominique Ropion for Frederic Malle in 2005 after more than two years on the formula, and built around an unusually large dose of tuberose absolute. Eucalyptus and galbanum open it green and camphorous, which is what stops the flower smothering everything else. Tuberose then dominates, coconut and melon giving it a creamy, edible softness and jasmine and orange blossom adding width, with musk and amber underneath. Malle's muse for it was his aunt, the actress Candice Bergen. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it works in spring and summer, day or night.
