Scandal is a chypre floral for women, created for Jean Paul Gaultier in 2017 by Daphné Bugey, Fabrice Pellegrin and Christophe Raynaud, and the first Gaultier scent made with Puig. Blood orange opens it, but honey is what the fragrance is really about: thick and waxy, almost animalic, with beeswax underneath and gardenia and orange blossom keeping it floral. Caramel and licorice darken the drydown against patchouli. Sweet in a heavy, sticky way rather than a fruity one. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it belongs to autumn and winter evenings.
