Arpège is Lanvin's floral aldehyde for women, released in 1927 and credited to Andre Fraysse and Paul Vacher. The name comes from the arpeggio in music, and the notes are meant to play in turn. Aldehydes and peach give a bright, soapy lift, followed by a thick bouquet of jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose and iris, and a warm base of sandalwood, vetiver and vanilla. It was reworked in 1993, joined the FiFi Award Hall of Fame in 2005, and marked the house's 120th year with a bottle overseen by Alber Elbaz. Rich and lasting, for cooler days and nights.
