American Cream is an oriental vanilla for women and men, made by Mark Constantine for Lush in 2010 as part of a limited collection for that year's holiday season. The idea is a vanilla milkshake of the 1950s, and it smells like one: vanilla absolute and milk, thick and lactonic, with strawberry and orange giving it a fruit-syrup brightness and honey adding stickiness. Lavender and clary sage sit underneath and stop it cloying. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it can be worn in daylight in any season.
