Vanillary is an oriental vanilla for women and men, composed by Simon Constantine for Lush in 2009 from natural vanilla absolute. Three materials are listed and the vanilla is unmistakably the real thing: darker, boozier and less sugary than the synthetic version, with tonka bean deepening it and a thread of jasmine stopping it from going flat. Powdery and warm, and closer to a comfort scent than a perfume. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits autumn and winter days.
