Karma is a citrus aromatic for women and men, released by Lush in 1995 with no perfumer credited. Orange and lemongrass give it a bright, almost soapy opening with lavender underneath, then pine and cassis pull it somewhere colder and more resinous. What people know it for is the base: patchouli, thick and earthy, with fir resin, elemi and cinnamon making it sticky and slightly incense-like. More head shop than perfumery, and deliberately so. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it works best on summer and autumn days.
