Oud

Oud is an oriental woody fragrance for women and men, made by Francis Kurkdjian for Maison Francis Kurkdjian in 2012, using agarwood from Laos. The wood is the whole point of it: saffron gives the opening its leathery, slightly metallic lift, elemi adds a resinous brightness, and cedar and patchouli hold the base firm and dry. It stays warm and spicy rather than turning medicinal. It lasts a long time while keeping a moderate distance, which suits it to autumn and winter, day or night.
