Black XS for Her is a floral woody musk for women, composed by Emilie Coppermann and Mark Buxton for Rabanne in 2007 as a companion to the men's Black XS. Cranberry and tamarind open it tart and sharp with pink pepper, an unusually sour start, then cacao arrives and changes the direction entirely, dark and dry against rose and black violet. Massoia wood keeps the base creamy under vanilla and patchouli. Sweet but never simple. It lasts a moderate while yet projects strongly, and it suits autumn and winter evenings.
