Ultraviolet is an oriental floral for women, composed by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud for Rabanne in 1999. Pepper and pimento give the opening a hot, prickly edge against apricot and fresh almond, and then violet arrives, as the name promises, with rose, jasmine and Japanese osmanthus around it. The base is warm amber with vanilla, patchouli and cedar, smooth rather than animalic. Powdery and spicy at the same time. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it works day or night outside summer.
