Valentina is an oriental floral for women, made by Alberto Morillas and Olivier Cresp for Valentino in 2011 and built on an Italian idea: Calabrian bergamot at the top with white truffle from Alba, which gives the opening an earthy, savoury strangeness. The heart is sweeter, wild strawberry with jasmine, tuberose and Amalfi orange blossom, and the base is vanilla and amber over Virginia cedar. The truffle is what people remember. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits spring and autumn days.
