Amethyst is a floral fruity for women, composed by Nathalie Lorson for Lalique in 2007. A pile of dark berries opens it, blackberry, blueberry, mulberry and blackcurrant, jammy but tart rather than sugary, and rose and peony fill the heart with pepper keeping an edge on them and ylang-ylang adding cream. Bourbon vanilla and musk make the drydown soft and powdery over light woods. Its design follows Epines, a Lalique piece from 1920, with crystal blackberries on the extract bottle. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, and it suits daytime in spring, summer and autumn.
