A*Men Pure Malt is an oriental woody fragrance for men, released by Mugler in 2009 in honour of Scotch whisky, following A*Men Pure Coffee the year before. No perfumer is credited. Orange and bergamot give it a brief fresh start before the malt and whiskey accord arrives, grainy and boozy, with coffee and patchouli darkening it. Peat does the work in the base, smoky and damp, set against the vanilla and amber underneath. Sweet and smoky together. It lasts a long time and projects moderately, and it belongs to autumn and winter evenings.
