Alien is an oriental woody fragrance for women, made for Mugler in 2005 by Dominique Ropion and Laurent Bruyere. It is built on very little: Indian jasmine sambac at the top, cashmeran through the middle and warm white amber underneath, and that narrowness is why it smells so singular. The jasmine is huge, solar and faintly animalic, the amber powdery behind it. Mugler brought it out as the house's follow-up to Angel, in a purple bottle shaped like a talisman. It lasts a long time and projects strongly. Autumn and winter evenings.
