Aura Mugler is an oriental fragrance for women, created in 2017 by Daphné Bugey, Amandine Clerc-Marie, Christophe Raynaud, Marie Salamagne and Olivier Cresp. Rhubarb leaf opens it green and bitter over bergamot, which is what makes it recognisable, and the heart softens into pear, orange blossom and ylang-ylang without losing that green edge. The base is Bourbon vanilla and coumarin over sandalwood, amberwood and wolfwood. The contrast between the sharp opening and the sweet drydown is the whole idea. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it suits spring and autumn.
