Invictus Victory

Invictus Victory is an oriental fragrance for men, released by Rabanne in 2021 with nobody credited as its perfumer. Lemon and pink pepper give it a short, bright opening, then it turns almost immediately to the part that matters: lavender against olibanum, which pulls the aromatic edge towards incense rather than barbershop. The base is sweet and enveloping, vanilla and tonka bean over amber, with the resin still faintly present underneath. Simple and heavy by design. It lasts a long time and projects moderately, suiting autumn and winter evenings.
