Crystal Noir Eau de Toilette is a floral for women, composed by Antoine Lie for Versace in 2004. It starts hot: pepper, cardamom and ginger give a spicy opening with real bite, and only then do the flowers arrive. Gardenia is the centre, creamy and heavy, with orange blossom and peony making it fuller and more powdery. Sandalwood, amber and musk round the base off softly. Spice and white flowers in equal measure, which is what keeps it from being sweet. It lasts a long time and projects moderately, and it suits winter and autumn evenings.
