Dreamer The Original Edition is an oriental fougere for men, composed by Jean-Pierre Bethouart for Versace in 1996. Lavender and sage open it dry and herbal with mandarin lifting them, then tobacco arrives early and sets the tone, softened by rose, carnation and geranium so that the middle is floral and sweet at once. Fir, cedar and vetiver dry the end out, with tonka bean rounding it off. Warm and old-fashioned rather than sharp. It lasts a long time but projects moderately, and it works in autumn, winter and spring, day or night.
