Interlude Woman is a chypre floral for women, composed by Karine Vinchon Spehner for Amouage in 2012 and released beside Interlude Man. Christopher Chong described the pair as disorder held in balance, with frankincense and myrrh rebuilt to read contemporary rather than devotional. The heart is where the strangeness sits: coffee, walnut, honey and immortelle crowded in among rose, orange blossom and incense. Oud, leather, oakmoss and benzoin make the base dense, with vanilla and tonka for warmth. It lasts a long time and projects strongly, and it works in autumn and winter, day or night.
