Ombre Noire is an oriental spicy for men, composed by Karine Dubreuil-Sereni for Lalique and released in 2017. Fig leaf and mint make a green, slightly milky opening, unusual for something that ends up as dark as this does. Tobacco leaf and cinnamon warm the heart, and then cognac, myrrh and olibanum give the base a boozy, resinous depth with cedar and tonka softening it. The fig at the front and the incense at the back are the two reasons to try it. It lasts a moderate while and projects moderately, best on winter and autumn evenings.
